President to open Nenagh Castle
NENAGH Castle is to open to the
public this summer, a move that was described as “fantastic” by local Junior
Minister Alan Kelly. And he revealed that he is to write to President Michael D
Higgins to ask him to offically open the project on June 6. The news that the
complex is to open for the summer was made this Monday by the Junior Minister
for the OPW, Brian Hayes, who was in Nenagh at the invitation of Deputy Noel
Coonan. Deputy Kelly also met Deputy Hayes along with town councillors and
members of Nenagh Ormond Historical Society.

Clonmel open for business
Clonmel Chamber of Commerce is using a
poster campaign to highlight that the town will be open for business on St.
Patrick’s Day. The campaign was devised in-house and the posters printed and
designed locally. It aims to inform consumers that despite Saturday, March 17th
being a public holiday, Clonmel is open for business on St. Patrick’s Day.

Bus Eireann Revises Galway City Network to Deliver Enhanced Service

Following a review of public transport services in Galway undertaken by the
National Transport Authority, Bus Eireann is pleased to announce a revised
Galway City bus network to provide customers with an improved level of service
including more frequent services, increased reliability, clearer timetables, and
a simplified network. The changes, which have been approved by the National
Transport Authority, will come into effect from Sunday, March 4th, 2012.

Dublin Airport welcomes London Southend route
Dublin Airport
welcomes the decision by Aer Lingus Regional, operated by Aer Arann, to open a
new service between Dublin and London Southend Airport in Essex. The new route,
which begins on May 10, will operate three times daily. London Southend Airport
is located about 40 miles east of central London. Trains run from the airport to
Liverpool Street Station in London. The new service to London Southend is one of
11 new services from Dublin Airport for this year.

Recipe
Serves 4
Ingredients
150g plain flour
1 teasp. baking powder
2 tablesp. sugar
3 eggs
1 tablesp. Greek style yoghurt
Milk
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Butter for cooking
Place the flour, baking powder and sugar in the food
processor. Whiz to mix well. Add the eggs, yoghurt and enough milk to make a
thick, but not too thick batter. Heat a knob of butter on a non-stick pan. Take
spoonfuls of the batter and cook on the hot pan for 3-4 minutes on each side
until nicely browned. Keep warm.
Serving Suggestions; Serve with berries
sprinkled with caster sugar and maple syrup. A spoonful of Greek style yoghurt
would also be very good served with them.
